There’s an interesting play coming up in the Dublin Theatre Festival written by Mark O’Halloran of “Adam & Paul” and “Garage” fame. The play, called Trade, centres on the relationship between a rent boy and a middle aged man and takes place in a run down guesthouse on the northside of Dublin.

While the subject matter is edgy enough, the really interesting aspect of this particular performance is that it is taking place in a real life B&B in the city centre. I’ve only been to a couple of theatre performances that take place outside of actual theatres, but I’ve always really enjoyed them, so I’m really looking forward to this one too.

There are full details of show, which is directed by Tom Creed and produced by Phillip McMahon, over on the Dublin Theatre Festival’s Trade page. Tickets go on sale to the public on August 16th, with priority tickets available in advance to friends of the festival.
